Station Information...Shy Memorial Radio was created in honor of my son Michael R. Shiley who was killed in Afghanistan, one day before his 28th birthday, on March 8, 2011. He was known to his buddies in the military as "Shy" and so I have chosen the name DJ Shy in his honor. Michael was initially a member of the 101st Airborne and then a part of a special JSOC Task Force. He was shot and killed while taking soldiers through a cave to show them the location of a compound. Myself, his stepmom Nelly, his sisters Tasha, Amber, Megan, and Derikka are very proud to have such a brave soldier in our family. Shy won numerous awards including the Purple Heart, Silver Star, Bronze Star, and the DISTINGUISHED SERVICE CROSS!! He was a true American Hero.

Shy Memorial Radio will not be a 24/7 station, it will only broadcast on special days such as birthdays and anniversaries. The staple song of Shy Memorial Radio is "Gone Too Soon" by Daughtry and will be played during every broadcast for Shy.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in for the March 31st show.I had a great time and I hope you did as well. Congratulations to PFC David Jennings and his new fiance' Kim Whittington. I wish you guys nothing but the best and thank you for asking me to be a part of your big moment. Good luck and Godspeed to the members of the 9th Cavalry Unit, I hope I was able to bring you some entertainment and I thank you for requesting I do a show for you, it was an honor. I don't know when the next broadcast will be, I do know I need a break, the shows take a lot out of me emotionally but I'll definitely be back and I'll let you guys know when! GOD BLESS

For those who are looking for Radio Insanity and DJ Rex the station has been shut down. As many Radio Insanity listeners know Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline was a staple song at Radio Insanity.  This tradition and song will carry over to Shy Memorial Radio in honor of a wonderful young lady named Suzyque.  Suzyque was a dedicated Radio Insanity listener and one of her favorite parts of my broadcast was when I'd sing along with the chorus to this song.  Suzyque lost her life, January 10, 2007 after a traffic accident involving an intoxicated driver.  Suzy was only 27 years old and resided in New Hampshire with her brother Jake and his wife Allison. So when you hear it playing, sing it loud and sing it proud so she can smile down as she enjoys her favorite sung by all!
